Hello world!

Hi!  I’m Sandy, and I run a blog called Yes, I Am Cheap. That blog is a debt reduction blog and you can read all about my efforts to get out of debt over there but that’s not what this blog is about.  This blog is about my tenant and your tenant.  By far, some of the most popular posts on Yes, I Am Cheap have been about my horrible tenant.  It’s a very long and complicated story, but the most recent chapter, filled with photo evidence to back up my claims, is now ranked in the top ten sites on Google for the search term “tenant from hell“.  Yes, she’s that bad.  You can read about more of my ongoing saga with my tenant from hell on that blog.

After writing about my own tenant, I realized that I am not the only one that has dealt with bad tenants.  There are plenty of us out there just getting bve on our finances that have had to deal with horrific renters and beyond a lawyer and judge, we had nowhere to share our stories and vent our feelings. And so, from the ashes of frustration, this site was born. I hope that you take the time to register and post your own tenant from hell story.  Your cautionary tale will help others out there in their own situations that have no idea what to do or think that they are the ones that have ever encountered such individuals.

There are only a few rules:

  1. Keep it clean.  I know that they can get frustrating, and I believe in freedom of speech, but if every other word is begins with “F” I’ll have to edit some out.  Trust me, I’ve had to edit my own f-bombs.
  2. No last names.  This is the internet after all and people are touchy about suing everyone, so don’t use your last names – or theirs.
  3. Photos and videos are more than welcomed!  In fact, you’ll see a video to the right of this post right now. Video evidence is awesome.
  4. The more that you contribute, the better this site will be!  Remember, this isn’t my site, it’s OUR site.

If you are a real estate professional and would like to have a guest post on this site or be the expert for our “ask a pro” series, please feel free to contact me!  I’d be happy for you to share your knowledge and expertise with handling difficult tenants.
